Alexa Cannon was born on May 12, 1992, in the close-knit community of Oakville. From an early age, she displayed a natural empathy and a deep sense of justice. Growing up, Alexa was known for her infectious smile, her caring nature, and her willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.


As Alexa grew older, her passion for making a positive impact on society became evident. She excelled academically, graduating with honors from Oakville High School. Alexa's unwavering dedication to social justice led her to pursue a degree in social work at Oakville University, where she thrived in her studies and embraced opportunities to engage in community service.


Throughout her college years, Alexa actively sought out opportunities to apply her knowledge and compassion in practical ways. She volunteered at local shelters, advocated for marginalized communities, and worked tirelessly to raise awareness about social issues. Her genuine care for others touched the lives of countless individuals and inspired those around her.


On the night of June 17, 2019, tragedy struck when Alexa's life was brutally taken in a senseless act of violence.
